Full-Scale CFD Analysis of Double-M Craft Seakeeping Performance in Regular Head Waves

This study presents the full-scale resistance and seakeeping performance of an awarded Double-M craft designed as a 15 m next-generation Emergency Response Rescue Vessel (ERRV). For this purpose, is by comprising benchmark Delft 372 catamaran with additional center two side hulls. First, analyses are simulated on model scale to verify compare numerical setup for Fr = 0.7. Second, examined at 0.7 in regular head waves (?/L 1 2.5) added 2-DOF motion responses. The turbulent flow unsteady RANS method Realizable Two-Layer k-? scheme. calm water represented flat VOF (Volume Fluid) wave, while incident long fifth-order Stokes wave. residual improved 2.45% compared that catamaran. In case maximum improvement (at ?/L 1.50), relative 10.34% lower than catamaran; moreover, heave pitch responses were 72.5% 35.5% less, respectively.
